Yeah, good for her, not paying attention to training plans or science or anything silly like that. And I'll bet that she NEVER takes advantage of all the Nike resourses at her disposal. The Alter-G treadmills, massage therapists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, strength coaches, etc, etc. She never uses any of that stuff. And before every run I'm sure Alberto says, "Hey Sweetie, just go out and have fun and feel good about yourself. And when you get back, have a popsicle."
Colin that was great, but to add to it why have a coach they have to think to much;) Once again there has to be a balance of just training hard and GETTING THE WORK DONE, but also the proper way to train for an event. Science just tries to explain what is going on and what effects they have seen in a (lab) with way to many outside variables to control. That is why I like Paulo style all he cares about is performance or at least it seems that way by what he says, because in the end in does not matter who has the highest vo2max or the best lactate curve winning is what matters.

Are we leaving the power meter at home on our bike rides too?
I think probably she runs a lot at a "steadystrongsolidgiveitagoseehowyoufeelstartfastandbuild" pace.
Yeah! Science follows her and not the opposite like the modern physiologists praise, right?
Bamm!!
