Weird looks

I still get weird looks when I tell people that I don't want my athletes to stretch and that I strongly dislike yoga...

You're welcome!

There seems to be a fair amount of noise in the data: "nonstretching (6.0 +/- 1.1 km) vs. the stretching (5.8 +/- 1.0 km) condition...". I wish I could see the full dataset and analysis, but not badly enough to pay. Do you think they hypnotized the runners to avoid a placebo effect? :-)

I wasn't surprised by their results from practical my experience...nor were you.

I'm curious at to your take regarding whether you feel there would be a similar correlation if athletes stretched post run?

This complements the efficacy of PRP treatments(platlett rich plasma) and/or prolotherapy for the purpose of improving ligameous stabilty,...for health, and now performance. Love it.

I'm not sure from this study you can extrapolate the results to show that yoga has no benefits. This study appears limited to static stretching prior to an event; and 2) yoga would probably be better characterized as dynamic stretching than as static stretching.
