Good quote, worth at least $3.66

"The irony of commitment is that it is deeply liberating - in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life".

Anne Morriss, by way of my TGIF grande cappuccino.

Starbucks cups are so deep.

Yes, especially the Venti size...

Do you think that the powers that be at Starbucks knew beforehand that 'venti' means twenty in Italian and not 'big', as they clearly wish it to mean? Or did they learn this only after the national ad campaign and realized that they could do nothing about it? Or perhaps they still don't know, and all the bigwigs at Starbucks are walking around, happily oblivious to the fact that they are idiots in English, Spanish, and Italian. I like to think it's the last choice.

I love that quote. "Rational hesitation," that's SO me. Thanks!

Um, @Colin, a Starbucks "Venti" cup hold 20 US fl oz.

IMO, your "It's Fritalian" criticism still holds true!

To TriExpert--Really?! I've had exactly zero drinks from Starbucks in my life, so I guess I was all too eager to jump on they "they are all idiots" bandwagon. Too bad, it's a nice bandwagon. :)
